![]() ![]() Recommended., I loved reading this, [and found it very relatable. For this reason alone, I will include this title in my library collection. This book shows that so wonderfully., A fast-paced plot and clearly delineated characters examine a gender issue that is often not addressed in the quest for acceptance of LGBTQ young people: discomfort with bisexuality. It is easy to get into an us vs them or gay vs straight mentality, which doesn't allow for that growth and doesn't allow for people to fully express themselves without dear. ![]() Sexuality and gender are fluid and always developing. Rated G: Good, even great at times, generally useful!, I thought the author did a fantastic job addressing the inner turmoil Freyja had with being attracted to a boy since so much of her personality and lifestyle were wrapped up in her identity as a lesbian., I highly recommend this book for queer people in particular. Definitely worth reading! Honest, emotional and raw feelings! Loved this book!, This novel flows quickly, and would be suitable for high school students who may be struggling with shaping their identity and sexuality, who may be curious about the heaviness of the political state of the world, or who may be dealing with a breakup. Frejya really matures and the out come of the story is sweet. ![]()

Goldmund is brought to the cloister by his father, who wants him to become a monk, which the boy also believes will be his future. He is a brilliant scholar with a gift for making keen, intuitive analyses of others and of what their futures might be. Apparently in the medieval period, Narcissus is a novice at a cloister called Mariabronn. Narcissus is the first of the two title characters to be introduced. The novel takes the form of an extended parable, where the settings are generic rather than named and many of the characters represent specific qualities or modes of living. Hermann Hesse's Narcissus and Goldmund, first published in 1930, is the classic tale of two best friends, a monk and a wanderer, whose lives come together, diverge, and reunite over the years. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Darkling sends Alina to Ravka’s capital under his protection to begin training.
